About Libre Closet

Libre Closet is a free, open-source, self-hosted wardrobe organizer built by Lazztech LLC.

Our story

We built Libre Closet because we were tired of wardrobe apps that lock your personal style data behind subscriptions, mine your preferences for advertising, and can disappear overnight. We believe your wardrobe data belongs to you, on your hardware, under your control, forever.

Open source

Libre Closet is licensed under the AGPL-3.0, guaranteeing it remains free and open forever. The full source code is available on GitHub. Contributions, translations, and feature requests are welcome from the community.

Technology

Built with NestJS, HTMX, SQLite/PostgreSQL, Docker, and ONNX runtime for client-side AI background removal. The progressive web app works offline on desktop and mobile.
